Something to Admit!

Day Nine
My Tuesdays are usually my insane days starting with my early 4am wake-up, into work at 5am, pick-up Evan from his morning session at Pre-K, drop-off Evan to his afternoon session at Pre-K, allergy shots, pick-up Evan from daycare and community band rehearsal. Oh yeah, I have 8 hours of work in between those times.

Yesterday, after picking up Evan, he decided he wanted his favorite for dinner, Little Caesar's Cheese Pizza. T and I were shocked the first time watching him devour almost half of a pizza by himself (he won't eat crust though). We have struggled with Evan's lack-of-eating issues, so if the boy wants to eat half of a pizza, go for it!

I got the usual, cheese pizza for Evan and a pepperoni pizza for T and myself. Driving home with the warm pizzas, the yummy aroma made me snap! Yes, I am admitting, I ate 1/3 of the pepperoni pizza!!! I could have stopped after 1 piece, but I had to eat more and it wasn't because I was hungry. It just smelled good!! So scary how aromas can hit those triggers in us!!

In doing this 24-Day Challenge, I have to be honest with myself and I don't want to hide that I binged on pizza for no other reason than it smelled good and I wanted to eat it!! My biggest thought afterward was...aaaarrrgh I have to get weighed in after Day 10 and I'm going to have all this water retention from all the sodium! But alas, I have to come to terms that this weight struggle is more than the 10-day cleanse or 24-Day Challenge; it will be a lifestyle change that I will have to deal with on a daily basis for a long time. There is no quick fix, it will be a combination of good nutrition, portion control and exercise. I can't binge on pizza everyday, but if I have a binge every once in a while, it will be o.k...I just have to get back on track.

For Day Nine (and it actually started yesterday with Day Eight), the packets are getting less and less! Now it's an easy morning routine for Day 8, 9, & 10: two Pro-Biotic capsules on an empty stomach and then Fiber Drink with Mandarin Orange Spark added in (the Spark addition is my twist to it) with breakfast. I am sticking with my oatmeal for breakfast since it's easy and filling.

For my busy life, I am happy that this supplement regimen is very easy to follow. I am very excited to start MNS system on Day 11. This phase of the 24-Day Challenge will be the long-term support to my weight loss journey!
